Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction
Welcome to Eighty Twenty Design & Communication (“8020”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using www.the8020.in (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Services
We provide Branding, Website & Web/Mobile App design, Social Media Management, and Corporate Communications design (the “Services”). All deliverables remain our intellectual property until payment in full.

3. User Conduct
You agree not to misuse the Site or Services (e.g., no unlawful, infringing, or harmful actions). You are responsible for keeping your contact details accurate and secure.

4. Orders & Payment
Quotes are valid for 30 days. A 50% advance is due upon signing; balance on delivery. Prices exclude applicable taxes. Late payments may incur interest at 1.5% per month.

5. Intellectual Property
All designs, code, and content remain 8020’s property until paid in full. You receive a non-exclusive, perpetual license for the final deliverables. Third-party assets (fonts, stock images) are licensed for your use only.

6. Warranty & Liability
We warrant our Services will conform to accepted industry standards. Except for gross negligence, 8020’s total liability is limited to the fees paid under the relevant Order.

7. Termination
Either party may terminate with 14 days’ written notice. You’ll pay for work completed up to termination. Upon termination, any unpaid fees become immediately due.

8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in Chennai courts.

9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Privacy Policy

1. Scope & Consent
This Privacy Policy explains how 8020 collects, uses, and protects personal data from users of www.the8020.in (“Site”), in compliance with GDPR, India’s IT Act, and global standards. By submitting data (e.g., via enquiry forms), you consent to this Policy.

2. Data Collected

  • Voluntary: Name, email, phone, message via enquiry forms.

  • Automated: IP address, device/browser data, cookies.

3. Purpose & Legal Basis

  • Service Delivery: To respond to enquiries and provide Services (Contract).

  • Marketing: With your opt-in consent, we send newsletters and updates (Consent).

  • Legitimate Interest: Improve the Site experience and security.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

  • No third-party sales: We do not sell or rent your data.

  • Service providers: We share data with cloud hosting, payment gateways, or analytics tools who adhere to strict confidentiality.

5. International Transfers
Your data may be stored on cloud servers outside India. We ensure appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses) for GDPR compliance.

6. Data Retention
We retain enquiry data for up to 3 years or until you request deletion.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. No Refunds
All Services are custom and non-refundable once work has commenced. Payment of the advance deposit constitutes acceptance of this policy.

2. Cancellation
If you cancel after sign-off on the initial concept, 50% of the total project fee remains due. If cancellation occurs before concept sign-off, only the 50% advance is payable.

3. Modifications
Change requests beyond the agreed scope may incur additional charges; these will be quoted separately.

4. Dispute Resolution
Any refund or cancellation disputes will be handled per Section 8 (Governing Law) of our Terms & Conditions (Chennai, India jurisdiction).
